This item which dates to circa 7th century AD, is a rare item to find. It would have been fastened to the shoulder or chest to secure a cloak all shawl. It has a deep chip carved design to the upper surface in the form of tendrils and has a lush green patination to the bronze. Some small amount nibbling to the edges as shown. With some evidence of tining or silvering to the reverse but
